The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua Hosts First Annual Winemakers Dinner Series at The Anuenue Room


In honor of the new millenium, chef de cuisine Craig Connole and maitre d' Fred Johnson of The Anuenue Room have announced the first of six Winemakers Dinners for 1999.

"This new series of winemakers dinners will provide the perfect opportunity to meet some of the best winemakers in the world in an intimate setting," said maitre d' Fred Johnson. "Guests will enjoy Craig Connole's Hawaiian Provenšal cuisine pared with some of the most talked about wines of the new millenium."

Added Johnson, "Our first dinner will feature Caymus Vineyards, named in the 1998 Wine Spectator Readers' Choice Awards as 'the winery that makes the best cabernet sauvignon or cabernet blend in California.'"

The five-course dinners are priced at $100 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Upcoming winemakers dinners include Joseph Phelps on July 17th and Chateau Trimbach on August 21st.

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua is a AAA Five Diamond oceanfront property located on 50 acres of Maui's lush northwest shore.
