Kapalua celebrates Maui's most famous visitors, the humpback whale, through
lectures, interactive displays and events, art and photo exhibitions, whale
sightings and an interpretive walk. Naturalists from leading scientific institutions
join visitors and residents for this fun and interactive weekend.
A charity golf tournament benefiting non-profit research organizations:
Whale Trust, Center for Whale Studies and Hawaii Whale Research Foundation will
be held on Sunday at The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort. Entry fee is $250
per person (with $200 going towards host charities) includes awards luncheon to
follow. Hole sponsorships are available for $1,500 and includes entrance for one
team of four players.
All events are free to the public and are held at The Ritz-Carlton,
Kapalua on the Kapalua Resort.
