Jamba Juice Paddlers Ocean Challenge

The 2nd Annual LifeFest Kapalua, Hawaii’s premier health and wellness event, held September 23-25 at the Kapalua Resort, is proud to announce the return of the Jamba Juice Paddlers Ocean Challenge. This canoe race will be held Saturday, September 24th at D.T. Fleming Beach, fronting The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua. Jamba Juice will be on hand to offer free samples, door prizes, and lots of fun. Arrive early for the Kick and Sculpt class from 7:30 a.m.- 8:30 a.m. offered by Krista Clarke and Robert Ferguson and enter to win a pair of Adidas cross-trainers. LifeFest Kapalua will also offer lectures and workshops to educate the mind, rejuvenate the spirit, encourage physical fitness and highlight indigenous Hawaiian cultural practices.




Canoe Race Details:


Place & Time:

8:30am – Registration ( D.T. Fleming Beach – fronting The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua)
9:30am - Races begin

Cost: $150 per team (six persons on each team,includes trophies and a 2005 LifeFest Kapalua t-shirt) ▪ Spectators free
Race Divisions: Men’s, Women’s, Adult Mixed
Race Format: “Regatta style” Race: Four canoes compete in one lane heats over a short course; double elimination. All canoes provided by Kihei Canoe Club; Safety boat patrol provided.
Prizes: Trophies awarded to teams finishing 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each race division. Awards ceremony, lunch, Jamba Juice Smoothies, & prizes for participants will follow the race.
Parking: The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua parking lot
Other Activities: 5:30-6:30am – E Ala E: a traditional Hawaiian ceremony at ocean’s edge celebrating the start of a new day
7:30-8:30am – Complimentary Kick & Sculpt Class with Krista Clarke & Robert Ferguson
