The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua Receives AAA's Highest Honor,
the 1997 Five Diamond Award

 

The American Automobile Association (AAA) has bestowed its coveted Five Diamond Award on The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua after only four years of operation.

The Five Diamond Award is AAA's highest rating, reserved for properties renowned for unparalleled customer service, luxurious surroundings and superb amenities and cuisine. A total of 52 hotels in the United States, Canada, Caribbean and Mexico, or less than one-half percent of the 33,500 approved lodgings and restaurants listed in AAA's 1997 TourBooks, received the Five Diamond rating.

AAA-approved hotels undergo a rigorous annual inspection by 60 full-time professionals and receive an overall rating between one and five diamonds.
